Business Development: Shaping the Future Landscape of Entertainment

The digital revolution has significantly impacted the entertainment and media industry, changing the ways of production, distribution, marketing, and almost every other aspect of the business. Major film studios and music labels are scrambling to find a solution to survive the storm. Therefore, business development and strategic planning roles are becoming more and more important in the business, naturally increasing the need for hiring MBAs. Technology will advance at even greater speeds in the future and this will effect the decision making process and strategies of today's companies. Panelists from business development roles in the entertainment & media industries will discuss the challenges and opportunities they face today and their evolving roles at the workplace. Furthermore, they will share their thoughts on what lies ahead in the future of entertainment. What will entertainment look like 5 years from now? How will content evolve around the emerging technologies? What are the opportunities for existing companies and how will they monetize their content or platforms?
