Mobile: The Fourth Platform
Mobile phone penetration continues to climb globally. With the introduction of next-generation devices like the iPhone and platforms like Windows Mobile and Google Android, along with networks that enable rich content delivery, mobile phones are now poised to complete the "quadruple play" for content creators, providers, and consumers. This panel will discuss the current and future of media over mobile including content consumption, location-based social networking, as well as the business models that will prove to be successful throughout the value chain. Also discussed will be the relationships between various stakeholders in what has traditionally been an industry dominated by the operator.
