How Will The Fight Over Net Neutrality Affect The Media Business?

The debate over network neutrality centers on whether broadband providers (Verizon, Comcast, etc) can charge tolls for access (or create preferred tiers) on the information superhighway to content providers (such as Google, Amazon, eBay). What are the implications for society if network providers favor or disfavor certain websites (e.g. google.com) or certain brands of Voice over IP over others?
